Class News and Information:

As Mother of God’s resource teacher, I work along side homeroom teachers and also in my own classroom. During whole group instruction I support the teacher by helping all students. In my own classroom I work with individuals or small groups for those who need additional instruction.

 

Re-teaching or reinforcement of lessons is provided with additional practice and strategies. For those who need it, I teach accelerated literacy instruction with research based programs. My lessons are individualized to focus on students’ strengths and needs.

 

Through communication with teachers I focus on current academic needs so that students can be successful.

 

With the younger grades I am currently using the Rave-O program and Explode the Code software for reading comprehension and fluency.

 

For the older grades I use the classroom reading materials to provide discussion and comprehension. For those who need additional reading support I use Lexia Learning software.
